One morning at early dawn I heard people yelling and screaming. I rushed outside with my camera. A "girl pull" was taking place. The girl at this point was an object two groups wanted. The little girl looked about nine. Naked and muddy she was pulled along by the growing crowd, one way and then another. Coughing, vomiting and sometimes unconscious. Soon to be the unwilling wife of forty-year-old Boris who lived a few miles across the savannah. A day that starts like this is not a good day.
