As if the crime and violence we are experiencing today is the result of an invisible airborne virus ... an amazing phenomenon that's somehow exploded on our streets! A total mystery to our pundits! Let's face it, today's crime and violence is the result of a slow and growing malignant movement that has been generating it's own momentum for years. It's suddenly become apparent. Big, loud and blood red ... too big to simply be handled by rhetoric, too big to ignore. And many of us feel that this is only the tip of the iceberg! There is a lot more coming down the line, there's a lot more just waiting to happen. We have a lot more ugly evil to experience. We've read the research, listened to expert psychologists, psychiatrists and pundits; we've created think tanks, read the biased polls and surveys, in fact we have spent millions of hours and as many dollars coming to the simple conclusion that crime and violence is epidemic and that it can't be tolerated. First lesson our pundits must learn is that crime & violence isn't just epidemic ... it's endemic to a morally sick society! Could that be a sign that something is wrong, very wrong?? What's more there is no consensus as to the cause of the problem any more than there is the solution. Indeed after all is said and done ... much will be said and little will be done! Maybe there is a case for "common sense" to enter here. It's cheaper by far and "common sense" normally comes out dead on! Fact! Men commit most of the violence and men commit most of the crimes. If we are to get to the cause of the problem we must go deeper than the men who commit crime & violence to the young boys who are growing up to become our future criminals. society has become preoccupied with the symptoms ... the "behavior" of the male criminal. The obvious! Society's solution is simply a larger budget; to stop crime & violence, it's necessary to make more and tougher laws, recruit bigger and better cops, giving them the latest in technology then of course, build larger jails and prisons! Incarcerate more and more of these socially perverted men! Which, we all agree isn't really working! It's been another of society's very expensive failures. Common Sense says we should place a greater priority on dealing with the cause of the problem, namely the boy and how he grows up to become this criminal we all fear and hate. There seems to be something missing here. It seems our political leaders can't find the puzzle, let alone the critical piece of this puzzle. May I suggest the following. Fact! For the most part the male child has become a victim of five basic failures. Tragic failures! Unnecessary failures. Failures that were never intended to be. This young social misfit frames an impressive mosaic in the color of red, blood red. This mosaic is formed by the shattered pieces of failure. Failure of father, failure of family, failure of Church and failure of society ... take those four mirrors and smash them into a shattered violence. You have the picture ... the mosaic of chaos. It is somewhere in the combination of these failures that this young disoriented male monster has been created. He is fearless. He is everywhere, in the poor communities as well as the affluent neighborhoods. Like a ticking time bomb, it's just a matter of time before he explodes on the scene. SURPRISE! This young criminal has nothing to live for and nothing to die for ... he doesn't really fear death. This attitude compounds the danger he poses. Failure of the father: "The shadow in the night father." The 'I don't give a damn father' who is busy making his share of bastards! When the boy comes to an age where he understands what a bastard is and worse yet he finds that he is a bastard ... something breaks inside. A vacuum develops and anger fills the vacuum. This lost boy often becomes a candidate for anti-social behavior. The "phantom father" (teaches his son the wrong road, through lessons in absentia) or the "dysfunctional father"; the father who doesn't know how to be father because he's never had one. These fathers can only confuse the boy's image of manhood ... the result is the same; a son who is desperately looking for a real man to orient to, imprint on and model after. The plight of the disoriented young male as he searches for manhood is becoming too typical. (at this point he too often becomes a candidate for anti-social behavior or worse, the gang!) Sometimes a "father-less" boy locates on, or creates a surrogate father to imprint on ... to model after. Often it's one of his older peers or a media hero. It can be a teacher or coach. Then there is the "anti-father", a father who in fact turns his son against fatherhood! A boy child with out a good father to imprint on or model after becomes disoriented and confused about his gender, more than that, his manhood. This can produce a variety of effects from extended immaturity to insecurity and low self-image to confusion in sexual preference to anti social attitudes and behavior, etc. Simply put, a whole big can of worms! (Amplify this with the Feminist movement successfully pursuing its gender bending agenda.) Failure of the family: Fact! The worst of criminals almost always come from a dysfunctional family background. Dysfunctional families are often the result of a dysfunctional father. What does that tell us? It tells us that the family & home environment can be a big factor in creating criminal and anti-social behavior. The family is the basic teaching unit, the permanent teaching unit in the child's life. The family unit is where the young boy is socially imprinted, taught and shown his basic morality, what's right from what's wrong. He finds his security and how to interact with people. He finds his self worth, his values, and how to achieve, etc. When this family unit is broken, things start to fall apart! Serious problems are postponed only to surface later at a more appropriate time. The personal and social ramifications are horrendous. The list becomes a mile long. Sending the boy into the world handicapped with ugly baggage affects us all. Failure in school! Many kids don't complete school. (See family/father) Failure of the church: The Church was created by God to challenge and change the world by the living and lived out Gospel of Jesus Christ. Rather than the Church changing the world it has become changed by the world. By in large the Church has been in the feminine gender for years. Feministic orientation is neither attractive nor challenging to men. In Sunday School, boys taught by women about all their men Biblical heroes of old. Where are there men in leadership positions as visible examples to young boys? If the Church can't hold caliber men, how can it expect to hold teenage boys and healthy young men. Look at the early Church as an example, it was masculine. Early Christianity was masculine to the core. Early leaders were men. Unfortunately 2000 years has made quite a difference. In most cases today's Church just isn't challenging and is no longer relevant to real men, young men and boys. Failure of society: Unfortunately society is not only unwittingly encouraging this kid violence but also creating it! For instance in entertainment, society condones the most violent and immoral examples of adult life! Society terms this "adult." "Adult" language, "Adult entertainment, "Adult" films, "Adult" books and book stores ... All kids want to be adult, why shouldn't they mimic our society's perverted "adult" behavior? Society opens up the gate! Look at our nation! Formerly a God fearing nation. Now America, is busy dissembling their God before our very eyes and replacing Him with secular humanism. We are on an incredible ego trip ... will the resulting anarchy and violence from a Godless society worth it? One result of today's protectionist direction is the "Rights Movement" a typically shortsighted approach to protection. This sick and artificial "protection" ends up simply shielding the young and weak from reality. The growing "Rights movement" including animal rights and children's rights may seem worthy on the surface and indeed may help the few but it actually dumbs down and cripples society, eventually handicapping the healthy majority ... especially in the case of male children who cannot or will-not be properly disciplined or corrected and demand their rights. The great American "motherhood" with her shortsighted lawyers, feminists and homosexuals won a big one this time! As strange as it may seem to them, the criminal, the unhealthy, spawn in this kind of pampered protected and undisciplined environment. Today's crime and violence is the result of a fast growing movement generating it's own momentum. This movement is unwittingly orchestrated by the media. A wave of violence carries with it it's own inertia. America's building wave of violence is carried by the explosive energy of the sheer frustration of anger. Disenchanted youth, destroying, hurting, crippling. Kids with no fear! A correct statement ... to fear, you must have something to lose. Kids today correctly feel they have been betrayed ... there is nothing more to lose. There is nothing to live for. Let's climb into the screen and become the game! Gang member (definition) : A selfish and disoriented boy desperately looking for manhood! Moral fiber: The inner morals of an individual. (the strength of a nation) Social morals: The apparent morals or norms of a society. A society that looses its "moral fiber" is a ticking time bomb ready to explode at the opportune time into anarchy. Man was created different from God. God created man and woman different. God wants them different. Different roles and attitudes, different strengths and weaknesses. God made men different in the family structure to balance the family. Years ago, father knew best. Today we are quickly becoming imbalanced ... the feminine pressure to produce a genderless society, with no masculine strength to counter the idealistic motherhood, is producing weak feminine males.
