THOUGHTS AND IDEAS

1. It's a shame so many "spiritual" decisions are motivated by "fleshly" motives.
2. Nothing so disappointing as an old Believer with a stack of un-opened gifts.
3. If I hear the Gospel or read the Word without faith, the message cannot produce it's dynamic end.
4. God's method seems to be "God communicating through individuals to individuals.
5. Where do we get the idea that our Faith should be appealing? Our Faith should be changing men not appeasing them.
6. It seems man has always sought to be part of the Divine ... to be part of the mix. The minute man enters the Divine equation he screws up the mix. (Mrk.9:5) Never be the man that screws up the mix.
7. Every boy was created by God to imprint on a healthy, mature male ... preferably his father. His gender is then correctly established and balanced. Otherwise ... well, look around.
8. Instead of Christians having so many "Retreats" ... it might be best to have more "Refreshes."
9. To keep Jesus only in history is to keep Him in the tomb. Christians are those who have been liberated by liberating Christ from the tomb.
10. Those beautiful flowers surrounding the casket are meaningless to the occupant. Might have been better to have given a few of them the week before.
11. Converted? We talk a lot about conversion. Indeed we're converted in an instant from being a sinner to being a saint but to become truly converted or "saintly" in our behavior takes a process. Process is spelled TIME. In some humble Believers conversion is apparent in a short time while other Believers struggle for years. Converted to Jesus is one thing, being converted by Jesus is quite another.
12. Unfortunately when speaking to today's kids, image and style are more important than content.
13. For the most part kids are not students ... it's the teachers part to make them students. By motivating them to learn.
14. While emotion challenges logic, passion trumps logic.
15. Who says what to who? What a speaker says, may inform and even delight his listeners but who he is, will make the deeper impact
16. The term "In God We Trust" seems to be as worthless as the paper it's printed on. Trusting God is more than printed text.
17. Spiritual retreats aren't new ... the American Church has been retreating for years!
18. Interesting: God's blessings have a tendency to lead us away from Him while adversity tends to draw us to Him. Learning how to live every day in a thankful mode is the solution. (Lk.17:11-19)
19. There was a time when listening to a Prophet's ass was of more profit than listening to him. At least the ass was sensitive to the Spirit of God.
20. When the light shines upon an object it always reveals a dark spot. When His light shines upon us, it too reveals a dark spot. Indeed, God's light will reveal the darkness in a man!
21. I remember when I used to bend down to pick up a penny.
22. Make this a gold, silver and precious stones day, not a wood, hay and stubble day. (I Cor 3:12)
23. Remember, when you get to feeling too special ... there's no room in the Trinity for a fourth person.

26. Example is the catalyst of effective teaching ... and discipling. Without example, discipling remains simply a Bible study.

37. The true Holy Spirit: God's Holy Spirit or the emotion of man called "Holy Spirit"? Man's synthetic holy spirit or Gods true Holy Spirit? Choose the right Spirit.

40. Predators & prey? Every predator will one day end up as ... prey.

42. Everything I have done physically, will ultimately burn and I will eventually die. Only my influence on people, be it good or bad, will live on. Therefore if I'm to accomplish anything of eternal worth it will have to be done now and with people.

45. I don't know which is more painful, seeing my old friends pass on or to know I'm in the line ... somewhere!

47. Three gifts I want to excel at... 1. Teaching, 2. Motivating, and most of all 3. Inspiring. It seems to me a person inspires best by being an inspiration, which I strive to be.
48. Yeah, at my age I'm concerned with time. I see the bright light at the end of my tunnel ... thank God it isn't red and tinged with smoke!
49. Why be apologetic? My Faith requires faith which is the very nature of Faith. Why should I apologize for my Faith being based on faith? If I'm a Believer I'm a Believer by faith.
50. The white crosses of redemption by the millions in every cemetery, cover the millions of the non-believing, dead, damned and doomed. What a paradox!
51. Oh God, deliver us from those dedicated to the destruction of America as we know it and as we knew it.
52. Man wants fulfillment. How can we have fulfillment without purpose as our goal. First a sense of purpose then the feeling or sense of fulfillment

57. As a Christian it's difficult to navigate, avoiding the rabbit trails of flesh and the land mines of Satan!
